2o years old boy sentenced to 25 years in prison

A 20-year-old man, Mohammed Bello, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in a highway robbery. The incident happened near Gomoa Buduatta on the Kasoa-Winneba road. Bello and four other suspects attacked drivers and passengers, stealing phones, gadgets, and cash.

Bello was arrested on July 6, 2025, while trying to flee the scene. Police found him with stolen items, including phones, cash, and personal belongings. He was taken to court, where he admitted to the crime and was sentenced to 25 years in prison with hard labor.

The police are still searching for Bello's accomplices, who are currently on the run. The court has dealt strictly with Bello, giving him a lengthy sentence for his crimes. This serves as a warning to others who engage in similar activities.

The incident highlights the need for increased security measures on Ghana's roads to prevent such attacks in the future. For now, Bello will serve his sentence, while the police continue to hunt for his accomplices.

So the young guy will be 55 years after leaving the prison. What will be doing in the prison? I just hope there are enough facilities within the prison wall to cater for his education and to make him useful to the society, not to be become another sophisticated criminal that can unleash more terror to innocent people.
