Mum found in remote cave where she lived with her children for seven years to 'meditate'

A woman who mysteriously vanished nearly three years ago has been found alive, living in a remote cave in the Indonesian jungle.

The 39-year-old, known as W, disappeared
in 2021 and was believed to have been kidnapped.

Her family had reported her missing, and the case remained unsolved until a tip-off led authorities to a secluded cave near her village in Sulawesi.

Shockingly, police discovered her living there with a local shaman, who is accused of manipulating her through "black magic" and claiming she was possessed by a spirit.

The man allegedly used spiritual threats to control and exploit her for years.

She has now been rescued and reunited with her family. Authorities are investigating the shaman for potential crimes, including kidnapping and abuse. The case has shocked many and raised questions about spiritual exploitation and the vulnerability of women in rural communities. Investigations into the full circumstances are ongoing.
