Terrifying Leopard Attack Caught on Dashcam. aiming for moving bicycle

A heart-stopping incident has left the community on edge. Late last night, a leopard lunged at a moving bicycle on the SV Zoo Park road, narrowly missing the riders in a dramatic encounter captured on a vehicle dashcam. The viral video, now circulating widely on social media, shows the big cat emerging from roadside bushes, leaping toward the two-wheeler before retreating into the shadows as the bikers sped away, unaware of the danger until the last moment.

The incident, which occurred under the cover of darkness, has raised serious concerns about wildlife presence in this busy area, especially along routes leading to the sacred Tirumala hills and the popular Alipiri walkway. Footage reveals the leopard creeping dangerously close to the bike, missing by mere inches, prompting questions about the safety of locals and pilgrims.

This is not an isolated event—recent months have seen multiple leopard sightings, including a notable instance in March when one was recorded on the Alipiri footpath near shops in Galigopuram at 1 a.m. Fortunately, no injuries or direct confrontations with devotees have been reported in these incidents. In response, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) had previously implemented precautionary measures, such as restricting pilgrim trekking to group travel only.

However, following this latest near-miss, doubts are surfacing about the effectiveness of these safeguards. Authorities are now under pressure to reassess and potentially enhance safety protocols to protect the public from the growing leopard activity in the region.
