Bettiah, Bihar – In a startling incident in Bettiah village, a one-year-old boy named Govinda fatally bit a cobra that had coiled around his hand while he was playing near his home. The event, described by locals as a reflexive act, left the toddler unconscious and the snake dead on the spot.
According to eyewitnesses, the cobra had slithered dangerously close to Govinda, possibly provoking the infant. In an instinctive reaction, the child bit the snake, resulting in its immediate death.
Shortly after, Govinda’s condition deteriorated, prompting his family to rush him to a nearby Primary Health Centre (PHC). He was later transferred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Bettiah for further treatment.
